This green dome shelter is located just off the side of the Overland Track, 75m south of the intersection with the Lake Rodway Track.

This area of the Cradle Cirque is very exposed to the wind and snow, so this shelter is has been located to provide a refuge for walkers. If you are in the area and concerned about the cold, it is a good place to dry off and warm up. In an emergency, you can stay here overnight or until help arrives.
