This historic hut is located in a small clearing with stunning views. It was built in 1910 by Paddy Hartnett, who lead some of earliest multi-day guided walks on what has become the Overland Track. The hut is a great morning tea spot and worth exploring to soak up some of the history.
There is a outdoor, pit toilet (hole in the ground) just north of the hut.
Overnight use is prohibited except in an emergency.
