The rustic and very basic hut is settled among the trees beside Lake St Clair. It is at the top of the ferry jetty and just beside a lovely sandy beach. The hut sleeps 8 and has flat sheltered camping area beside the hut where about 4 tents can be put up. The toilet is located along a timber path on the other side of the main track, away from the lake.
The ferry does drop people off at the wharf so you may well see some day-trippers as you relax at this tranquil spot.
If staying overnight there is a metal food safe on the wall. The rats in the area are very clever so use the food safe for food and rubbish the rats may also seek out.
A great morning tea spot or an overnight stay depending on your plans.
