Hazard reduction burns: Chinamans HRThere is a planned Hazard Reduction burn in this park from 10/09/2024. The fire is called Chinamans HR. Refer to the
Rural Fire Service for latest information. Do not enter any closed area or area with fire. If you see an unattended fire call Triple Zero (000).

Other planned events: Hazard Reduction burning in Wallingat National ParkNPWS plans to conduct a hazard reduction burn in Wallingat National Park from Tuesday 10th to Wednesday 11th September, 2024.
Some minor 4WD trails will be temporarily closed during and after the burn, including; Rocky Gap Trail, Chinaman's Trail and Piper's Trail.
Sugar Creek Road will remain open, however access may be controlled during burning operations.
Visitors are asked to adhere to warning signs and trail closures.

Closed areas: Ferny Creek Road repairsRoad works have begun on Ferny Creek Road and Ferny creek campground access trail. The closure will remian in place due to inclement weather and will re-open as soon as the trail is safe to do so.

Safety alerts: Wallingat campground accessWallingat campground access is off The Lakes Way via Sugar Creek Road and River Road. Do not use Barbies Road or Link Road which are inaccessible to vehicles.
