Amphibians

  • (Crinia signifera) The 3 cm small frog is brown or grey with extremely variable markings. It has a dark, triangular mark on the upper lip, darker bands on the legs and a small white spot on the base of each arm. Their typical call is 'crick crick crick'.


  • (Limnodynastes peronii) The 7 cm frog is brown with distinct darker stripes running down the frogs back, a paler mid-dorsal stripe running down the back and a white belly. It has a black area that runs from the nostril and eye and to the shoulder with a golden line underneath.


  • (Pseudophryne australis) The 3 cm small frog is dark brown or black with a red T on its head, red spots over its back, and a red mark near the vent.

  • (Litoria peronii) The 4.5-6.5 long frog is one of the most variably coloured frogs in Australia and can change colour in less than one hour, with colours ranging from grey and brown to almost white. It has yellow and black thighs, armpits, and groin.

  • (Litoria phyllochroa) The 4 cm small frog is light to dark olive green or light to dark brown with a pale golden stripe running from the nostril, across the eye and down the side, with a dark brown stripe underneath. The forelimbs, groin, and thighs are dark red and the belly is white.


  • (Litoria verreauxii) The 3.5 cm small frog is light to red-brown with a darker patch from the eyes and over the back. The red thighs and backs of the legs have small black spots.
