Other planned events: Notice of serrated tussock sprayingNSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a weed spraying program using Tussock and Roundup Herbicide on 31 October to control serrated tussock in South East Forests National Park, in the Coolangubra section along Mataganah Fire Trail and behind Sheepskin Road, and in the Genoa section at Nungatta valley.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 ongoing baiting programNSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Monday 30 September 2024 to Monday 31 March 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and/or foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species and will take place in:
- Araluen Nature Reserve
- Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
- Beowa National Park
- Berlang State Conservation Area
- Bondi Gulf Nature Reserve
- Bournda National Park
- Bournda Nature Reserve
- Coolumbooka Nature Reserve
- Deua National Park
- Eurobodalla National Park
- Kooraban National Park
- Majors Creek State Conservation Area
- Mimosa Rocks National Park
- Monga National Park and State Conservation Area
- South East Forest National Park
- Wadbilliga National Park
Signs will be placed at the entry to baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands.
Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Bobin Road ClosedBobin Road in South East Forest National Park is closed for road maintenance from Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November 2024.

Other planned events: Road Delays - South East Forest National ParkExpect short delays on roads in South East Forest National Park from Monday 30 September 2024 to Friday 28 February 2025. Roadworks will be underway. Drive safely and follow the directions of roadwork signs, contractors and NPWS staff.

Closed areas: Parks closed for aerial pest managementThe following parks, reserves and areas will be closed from 2pm, Sunday 27 October to 2pm, Friday 1 November 2024 for a pest management program:
- Araluen Nature Reserve
- Majors Creek State Conservation Area
- Frogs Hole Nature Reserve
- Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
- Berlang State Conservation Area
- Deua National Park, west of Bendethera campground.
- Bendethera Valley campground
- South East Forest National Park (Nunnock Swamp Area)
- Wadbilliga National Park, west of Belowra.
This program will involve aerial shooting during daylight hours. Feral species targeted under this program include deer, goats, pigs, foxes and other pests. It aims to reduce the significant impact they have on native plants and animals including threatened species.
The closed areas will be sign-posted at relevant access points. Please avoid these areas and do not enter closed areas during this time. Please follow directions from NPWS staff and authorised contractors.
